The production area of the Erbaluce DOCG includes 37 municipalities located between Ivrea and Caluso, where the vineyards are located on the south side of the hills. The Erbaluce vine has particularly adapted to the sandy and pebbly soil of the Canavese morainic hills whose good basic acidity leaves a fine freshness in the wine.
